Top 5 Best Places To Visit Austria Vienna 2017

Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen

This is the Nordkette funicular and cable car system that takes you up to the top of the Nordkette mountain which looms over Innsbruck. The funicular begins near the Congress Center, making stops along the mountain at Loewenhaus, Alpen Zoo and Hungerburg. From there you switch to cable cars to Seegruben and arrive at Hafelekar near the 7,400 ft summit. Great views of the city and mountain vistas at the last three stops. Roundtrip fare is nearly 25 Euros and takes about 20 minutes but you can stop along the way and enjoy the scenery, hike or get something to eat. Beautiful! A must see and experience.

Schonbrunn Palace
This Palace is incredible - you will not want to miss Schoenbrunn Palace! You can reach it easily by the U-Train, 10 minutes from downtown. It does not cost anything to stroll through the Palace grounds which are stunning...filled with gardens, statues, ruins, fountains, and fabulous views of the city.

Beautiful areal with wonderful architecture and and parks surrounding it. They also have a zoo there, so that might be the highlight for children.

St. Stephen's Cathedral
It is a beautiful Church with a lot of tourists visiting this area. The south tower( the taller one) closes by 04.00 pm. So it is best to visit the place before 04.00 pm.There are several things to see at this cathedral.

Inside the main chapel it is beautiful and worth looking inside. Keep in mind that most of the stained glass was destroyed during WWII and have been replaced by plain colored glass. There is a gift shop.

To take an elevator to one of the towers you can buy a ticket inside the building.

On one side outside of the cathedral is a small ticket office where you can climb the stairs to the top bell tower. The stairs are tight and it's a lot of steps so you need to be in good shape. The view is wonderful.

Historic Center of Vienna
The city is absolutely beautiful, with a great combination of old buildings, museums, restaurants, clean modern streets, and reasonable-priced stores. The architecture is so good you need a swivelling head. There is no surface public transport in the centre so you need to walk or use underground to get there

There are so many gorgeous buildings throughout the historic district of Vienna.it is clearly understandable why Vienna is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Prater
Prater is situated near the center of Vienna. There is lot of Carousel, I recommend this place. Is good to visit with friends or family, If you have kids, and you need to bribe them into the museums, save this for your last day - they will love it! But apart from the famous Ferris wheel the park resembles any small amusement park with a decent selection of rides, loads of rip off arcades and an omnipresent smell of fried food.

Go early in the morning, when there are no lines and a bit more fresh air. Bring plenty of cash- it's not cheap!
