Blue Spring State Park

What a beautifully amazing place to spend the day! Get there early and grab a picnic table! Pack a lunch and plenty of water. Swimming and tubing in beautiful crystal clear refreshing water, is so much fun! You may also want to bring water shoes and snorkel gear. I brought my waterproof camera and took some great pictures! Watch for Manatees or even be lucky enough to be approached by one, priceless!

Really nice preservation and lots of cool activities. Also make sure to go on the willow walk which had lots of awesome animals.
We like climbing to the top of the fort and looking out over the water to Cumberland island. Other things - camping, beautiful beaches (look for shark teeth), biking (paved and unpaved routes), birding... The list goes on and on!

Siesta Beach LOCATION

The beach is amazing! The sand is so soft! Beautiful views of the Gulf and the waves are gentle enough for family swimming.
Absolutely thee best beach in the USA ... sand as soft and white as bread flour, and exceptionally clean, everywhere. Family areas with playlets for kids, plenty of rest rooms, parking is free (for now!), and sunsets to die for!
Live here and Siesta Key never gets old! Love love love Siesta. The sand is like powder and the water is clear.

South Pointe Park LOCATION

It's a really nice fishing pier, well equipped with fish prep areas. I got very lucky and caught two tarpon on my first two casts. I didn't have a drop net so landing them was very difficult, but I managed.
South Point Park is an extraordinary place to sit and run late afternoon and evening. We got to see the cruises and big boats entering and exiting the port. As well we saw very luxurious yachts.

NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex  LOCATION
State Road 405Kennedy Space CenterTitusville, FL 32899
Brilliant but costly. Need an entire day to see it all. Lots of everything including lunch with an astronaut. Sad they charge $10 for a wheelchair, Kennedy Space Center is a great day out and really should not be missed. There's a Rocket Garden, Children' Play area, IMAX Theatres, Shuttle Launch Experience and the new Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. Then there are the bus tours which show you the Vehicle Assembly Building, Launch Pads amongst other things and takes you to the Apollo/Saturn V center. There is also the Astronaut Memorial which is very moving. There are plenty of dining options as well as Dine with an Astronaut and they have a huge space shop to buy yourself some great souvenirs.
