Meiji Jingu Shrine LOCATION
1-1 Yoyogi Kamizonocho, Shibuya 151-0052, Tokyo Prefecture
The shrine was under renovation in preparation for its 100th anniversary in 2020. The main hall was blocked up. So it's not a good time to visit. Still, the giant tori gate is good for a photo. The shrine is still selling amulets, wishing plaques n so on. You only need to spend less than one hour there.
This is a lovely place to visit. Lots of walking trails and a really interesting shine. I loved the barrels or Sake and French wine. Definitely worth a visit.

Asakusa LOCATION
Taito, Tokyo Prefecture
Asakusa is a very good location to base yourself in Tokyo. From here the public transport is excellent and you will be able to get anywhere you wish to go. The area itself has a lovely Japanese temple that is well worth a visit. It's also a generally good place to experience Japanese culture and do some shopping.

Senso-ji Temple LOCATION
2-3-1 Asakusa, Taito 111-0032, Tokyo Prefecture
Temples are very big and they are in operation. Great site for beautiful Japanese architecture, tradition and awesome gardens. Also, there are many little shops with tons of souvenirs.
The temple is huge, and it is worth to visit. The temple is beautiful. However, since I have been quite a few temple, there is not much for me here. There are many shops in front of the temple for you to consider if you want to buy gifts and souvenirs.

Hozomon LOCATION
2-3-2 Asakausa, Taito 111-0032, Tokyo Prefecture
Hōzōmon is breathtaking. I can't believe it's just a gate leading to Sensō-ji but it is ah-mazing! It's beautifully constructed and so vibrant and colorful. As you're walking towards the gate you'll notice these ginormous lanterns hanging on the center of the walkway. Don't forget to look up under the main red one, and you'll see that even the bottoms of the lanterns have amazing craftsmanship of dragons carved into them.

Edo-Tokyo Museum LOCATION
1-4-1, Yokoami, Sumida 130-0015, Tokyo Prefecture
This is a great place to come to learn about old Tokyo. Most informative and interesting. It also has good air conditioning so if it's hot it's the perfect retreat. We paid 600yen to enter and then got the audio guide. You pay a 1000yen deposit which you get back when you are done. So it is basically free. We spent a good 3 hours there. There is a very good gift shop and near by an excellent bakery for a previsit snack! Just turn right when you get out of the metro station instead of going left to the museum. You will see the red bakery sign. I would thoroughly recommend visiting the museum.
