Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh LOCATION
20 Inverleith RowEdinburgh EH3 5LR, Scotland
The Royal Botanic Garden was part of our Hop-On Hop-Off pass. I don't know that I would have went there had it not been. I'm glad it was. It was a very beautiful place with lush, well kept grounds. Lots to walk through and see. It is the home of New Reekie the stinky plant. It is something you have to see if you get a chance. It is huge! The smell wasn't on when I was there but I think it was still in the beginning stages. This place had some of the most interesting plants and flowers that I have ever seen.

Inverewe Garden LOCATION
Poolewe IV22 2LG, Scotland
This garden is lovely. Because of it's microclimate they can grow many plants you would not expect so far north. Lovely and well tended. The formal garden is quite small but the wider, wilder grounds are much larger, allowing for a decent walk and fabulous views. Not all the grounds are accessible but the garden's map does identify suitable paths. The house is well worth a visit too.

Duthie Park Winter Gardens LOCATION
Duthie Park Polmuir RoadAberdeen AB11 7TH, Scotland.
The Duthie Park Winter Gardens are fascinating. There are a number of sections laid out so that you can walk through a humid tropical area to an arid desert area with lots of cacti, then a temperate zone. There is also a Japanese garden and a pool with koi carp in it. You can get married in there too which must be a lovely setting.
