Royal Mile LOCATION
Royal Mile, Edinburgh EH1 2PB, Scotland
The Royal Mile is the true centre of this historic and bustling city. It runs down from the castle to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. There is an abundance of history associated along its entire length and many small niche shops to interest everyone.
If you're in Edinburgh, it's definitely worth walking the Royal Mile. A lot of shops and historic buildings are here, and it ends with a palace. What's not to love?

Culloden Battlefield LOCATION
Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre, Culloden Moor IV2 5EU, Scotland
If you're into your British history then Culloden Battlefield is a must due to it's significance. If you just want to walk the battlefield then you don't have to pay to enter at the visitor's centre. Just park at the entrance off the main road and walk the paths. I found the clan memorial stones and mass graves the most thought provoking.
If you want to know more about the history and see some of the artefacts found on the moor then the visitor's center and entrance fee is worth it.

The Kelpies LOCATION
Helix Park, Falkirk, Scotland
the kelpies really are stunning and a must see when in the area. we walked along the canal from the falkirk wheel which was quite a long walk so would recommend getting a bus or hiring some bikes or something if you were going between the two attractions if you didn't want to do the 4 mile walk. lots of cafes/food stalls around here too.

Edinburgh Castle LOCATION
Edinburgh EH12NG, Scotland
Beautiful medival castle with lots of history. Would suggest buying tickets before arriving or online, as the line was quite long. The crowds were large but progressed smoothly. Definitely worth visiting while in Edinburgh! Edinburgh Castle is large and impressive but very crowded with mobs of visitors. The open courtyards are packed with thousands of visitors. Long lines to see attractions such as the jewelry and chinaware collections. The War Museum is worthwhile but very crowded, it was a relief to finish and get outside. The castle is huge and has a lot to see but the crowding is a real problem. Access to the Castle is convenient, just climb the long stairs by foot from the streets below.

Quiraing-LOCATION
Portree, Scotland
Quirang is such a breathtaking place to be, quintessentially Skye. Take your time to walk and enjoy the views. The parking was tight. The time we arrived, most everywhere was packed. The road is narrow anyway.Quirang is not the Rockies or the Swiss Alps, but it is uniquely Scotland and incredibly beautiful.
One of the most stunning views i have ever seen. There was not much space at the car parc but when you walk into the hills there was not much other tourists around. Must see when you visite Skye.
