Top 5 Best Places to Visit in California

Golden Gate Bridge
An unforgettable experience looking up and gazing at the engineering feat of the Golden Gate Bridge above us! Could not imagine just how awe-inspiring this experience would be. We highly recommend the bay cruise which took us beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz and under the Bay Bridge. Really worthwhile and highly recommended.

Spectacular museum boasts a most impressive collection by such luminaries as Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne, along with the architectural triumph of its six buildings and gardens.his huge museum complex is situated atop a hill overlooking LA. You can either walk up or take a tram. Several buildings are interconnected with two levels. The upper level has paintings and the lower had art objects, statues, and furniture. However, the layout is what makes this museum spectacular with gardens and terraces.

Alcatraz Island
Park rangers conduct tours by recounting the prison's thrilling history along with intriguing anecdotes about Al Capone and other legendary figures that made a "home" here. well organized tour and really liked the jailhouse audio tour ! The birds on the island are very stinky ! We were questioning if it is healthy to breath in that bird poop smell and dust?

General Sherman Tree
It's the biggest tree by volume in the world but somehow it didn't seem quite that big. The thing about sequoias is how thick the trunk is high up, but there are other trees which are considerably taller or thicker round the base and which are more impressive as a result. In fact, some of the other trees round about General Sherman are either taller or look taller because they start higher up the slope. The result is that the General does not really dominate the scene.

Don't get me wrong, it is the biggest tree in the world, it is impressive and worth seeing but for us it lacked the wow factor.
