Milford Sound
( Fiordland National Park | 24 Milford Sound Hwy, Milford SoundTe Anau, Fiordland National Park 9679, New Zealand )

Milford has fantastic scenery from mitre peak to the waterfalls and seal colonies,I enjoy visiting here when in the area
Have done trips by kayak which I prefer due to early start on water before the tour boats spoil it
The heights of the sea cliffs are amazing seen a cruise ship there one morning and the cliffs made the cruise ship appear small Beside them
Nice to have seen it in the new aliens movie recently
Can also be seen in wolverine x men origins during the water fall scene

Tamaki Maori Village  (55 Cable St, Wellington 6011, New Zealand )

Wonderful opportunity to learn about Maori culture and traditions.... from an extended family who really seem to enjoy teaching it (and having fun with their guests.. right down to the fun bus ride home). Well worth going, for all ages! staying overnight at the Tamaki Maori village was definitely one of the highlights of my trip in New Zealand. Learnt so much about the Maori people and their culture and we had such an amazing time learning songs, chilling in the hot tub and stuffing our faces with the delicious food we were provided with. Thoroughly recommend doing the overnight stay for a true taster of the Maori culture.

Museum of New Zealand (Te Papa Tongarewa)
55 Cable St, Wellington 6011, New Zealand
Amazing museum that is free entry. We spent 4 hours without any problem. The interactive features are impressive. The second floor was our favourite but it was all interesting. Definitely good if you are visiting Wellington.
The Gallipoli exhibition is one of the best museum experiences I have ever witnessed. It was informative and incredibly moving with personal stories woven into the bigger picture. The rest of the museum provides a fascinating insight into New Zealand's history and culture. Very impressive. Lots for kids to do too

Tiritiri Matangi Island
Tiritirimatangi is one of those places that more tourists than Aucklanders know about. It's a hidden secret gem in the Hauraki Gulf. An hour or so by ferry transports you to a beautiful island bird sanctury, where you get to see and listen to native birds rarely seen or heard on the mainland. I've never seen a takahe anywhere except Tiritiri! Also we got to see saddlebacks, bellbirds, and a kokako on our last visit.

Sky Tower Corner Victoria and Federal Sts, Auckland 1010, New Zealand
This is well worth a visit in Auckland. You can see every part of the city and the wonderful harbour from the viewing platform. It is expensive to go up, but we booked a table in the revolving restaurant which allows you to go up half an hour before your reservation. The food was excellent, which makes it a cost-effective way of seeing the views.
Very nice and there is a lot off activities to do for the whole family. From sport to cheese and wine.
