Red Square (Krasnaya ploshchad)
once the site of executions and military parades, sits smack in the middle of Moscow, bounded on one side by the Kremlin walls and Lenin's tomb and on the other by GUM, the country's largest department store.
Huge square, very busy with tourists and visitors on a sunny July day. Great to see in person and actually walk along something that seems familiar from so many news clips. here you can see the Kremlin wall along which politicians in the days of the cold war used to line up; the magnificent St Basil's Cathedral; Gum Department Store, and Lenin's mussoleum, (unfortunately closed on the day I was there). The surrounding park is a pleasant walk, and the eternal flame/ tomb of unknown soldier a solumn but visually impressive sight.

St. Basil's Cathedral
Beautiful icon of moscow. We did visit and enter this cathedral. I felt it was more stunning on the outside than inside. The interior was impressive but not as much as the cathedrals inside the Kremlin.
I thought it was slightly over priced. However whilst your in Moscow

If you visit Red Square in Moscow, this place is a must to see, if you get a chance also visit this place at nights which giving great view.

Kul Sharif Mosque
Very beautiful Mosque, it is located inside The Kremlin and its easily the most visited of all the touristic buildings of the city. There is a dress code in order to be able to go inside it.
This Mosque is ya far the best view Kazan has to offer, it's located in the Kremlin; therefore, you can see a few more things in just one trip, the thing I liked the most were the little selling stalls on the side, the have many souvenirs, of you am sure at least one anyone would like.

'The Motherland Calls' Sculpture
This gigantic statue is off to the north of centre and is easily reached by tramway. The visitor would ascend several hundred steps through tree lined pathways and ponds, with some sombre music and occasion sounds of gun fire, to eventually come to the eternal flame and ascend the circular ramp to the foot of the statue. There are visitors throughout the day but early morning would provide the best light. There are souvenir stalls around, Stalin museum to the right hand side of the statue and a cafe.

Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood
The colours and the architecture of this church is breathtaking. The church has been erected at the location where the Czar, Alexander II, was assassinated. Hence, the name appendage, Spilled Blood. This church did not open until the late 1800s. It was over the scene of Alexander seconds assassination.
It was not in service but about 20 years before the revolution. It was heavily damaged by the Germans and then neglected by the communists. The outside of the building is very Russian orthodox. The inside has beautiful tapestries and murals. The site of the assassination is preserved with the original cobblestone as well. Expect lots of people.
