Top 5 Best Places To Visit in Italy

Ortigia

This is a very touristic place but very beautiful, and in the mornings and late evening you find some peace as well. Narrow streets and historic buildings. Most of restaurants are, unfortunately, boring. Very innovative desing in almost all activities

beautifull, cozy, clean,, perfect. expecially at night ortigia is a must if you visit siracusa. nice restaurants and bars around This is the beautifully-preserved old part of Siracusa, full of lovely buildings and pleasant alleys perfect for strolling, plus lots of views of the sea.

Colosseum

A must see attraction when visiting Rome, it is much larger than you think it will be. We purchased tickets on line and printed them at home, as a result we walked straight in, with only a minor delay for a security baggage check. Unfortunately the tickets for the underground tour were sold out, but we climbed up to the third floor for great views and could imagine what it must have been like 2,000 years ago. I strongly advise getting tickets on line, and do take water with you, it can be very hot and tiring.

It is a bit crowded, but definitely worth it. Amazing location. Must see. But definitely recommend hiring a good local guide to explain the history behind the details

Venice

Walking and boat ride tour guides were excellent and knowledgeable about interesting historical facts
loved Venice. A little cold, a little wet but nothing short of fantastic. This is an excellent, wonderful and informative tour.
This tour is quick but perfect for Venice! You are told a lot and shown the highlights that if you would like to see more of, you can easily return! After the boat ride tour, there was no need to overpay for a gondola ride. We very much enjoyed our time in Venice and the tour helped!

Sassi di Matera

Incredible place to visit – the sassi are breathtaking and definitely worth a visit!!! Really nice place. The city center is impressive and small. Worth to visit. If you don't have much time, not need to worry, you can easily visit in half of the day. Keep in mind that most of the restaurants and cafe close early in the afternoon and open at the night.

Wonderfull city, with amazing views and houses and hotels. Also the churches are amazing! We booked a tour, however this one went from souvenir shop to souvenir shop and did not include any of the churches. So be careful!
