Top 10 Amazing Places to Visit in Paris (Amazing World)

Eiffel Tower
This iconic Paris attraction took our breath away. It boosts amazing views and scenery. There is small attractions at the base of the Eiffel Tower to have a short relax. The history of the Tower is impressive and give perspective to this landmark.
The crowds are to be expected and tolerated because it's an icon. It's not the best view in Paris, but it's a pretty good one. And it's the Eiffel Tower. They manage the place best they can given how many people are there and today's threats. The lines are long and it's a hunk of steel, but it's awfully gorgeous all lit up at night.

Musee du Louvre
You really do need a good solid day here to really take it all in , if you love culture and history this is fantastic. Recommend investing in the audio tour head set as a lot of the writing for the art is in French. Defiantly exceeded my expectations. Louvre is overwhelming! Amazing collections, impossible to see it all. Prepare a list of what you want to see and stick to it with the most interesting objects first because after a few hours of walking legs get very tired ( especially after some sightseeing had been already done) and the interest in the art is lost. A floor plan I got from the museum was rather unhelpful as there was no room numbers on it so it might be a good idea to find more detailed one and print before the visit.

Musee d'Orsay
The collection of impressionist art in the MO is truly outstanding. Everything from Monet, Manet, Renoir, Sisley, Cezanne... I have never seen anything like it! The gallery itself is stunning. If you don't go anywhere else this place is a must. This is the best museum in Paris and everyone knows it so the lines and crowds can be large. Buy in advance or get the museum pass to skip the line into the museum. Go all the way up to the popular impressionism exhibit and work your way back down to the exits. No way to do it all in one day, but whatever time you spend there you will love.
Musee d'Orsay
Conciergerie
Another great location for the history buff. The exhibits do a wonderful job of retelling the history of this monument. The crowds are typically much smaller here as the monument next door gets the bulk; those walking through here are typically overflow. The exhibits are not as "dressed up" or elaborate as other museums in the city but touring the building alone and comprehending those that once stood where you now stand is reason enough to visit.

Grand Palais
This huge building was built for one of the international expositions and now is used for grand temporary expos. Check the listings to see what is showing, and if it appeals to you, buy a ticket at FNAC to avoid the lines. And then be prepared for crowds.
I went there to experience world class exhibitions. It's a place to experience best of the art exhibitions.

Place de la Concorde
This round place is a scary one to drive around but an excellent viewing point to see the deadly straight champs, the Eiffel tower and stunning artwork.
Place de la Concorde is one of the most fantastic sites you will see in Paris! It will take your breath away! Our tour guide explained that it's former name was Place de la Revolution! Ask your guide about "the name change," and you will learn the connection of this stunning site that features the spectacular Egyptian Obelisk (the oldest monument in Paris), it's two gorgeous fountains, and Marie Antoinette!! And... you will be able to clearly see the Tour Eiffel from Place de la Concorde!!!

Notre Dame Cathedral
Gorgeous cathedral - every bit as good as I expected. Very busy, but everyone was very respectful and quiet for the Mass that was being conducted. Well worth a visit. We did not walk up the towers as the queue was so long. This Cathedral of Notre Dame was one of my most favourite iconic destinations in Paris. I was in awe of the details on both the exterior and the interior of the Cathedral

Luxembourg Gardens
A gorgeous oasis in the city. Beautiful and lush, with fountains, statues, and lots of places to sit and take in the scenery. Perfect for a picnic.
Luxembourg Gardens is so beautiful. The pond inside it gives in great look. The best place for the couples.

River Seine
There is so much street life along the river. On nice days during the summer there a tons of venders selling their art. Places to grab a quick bite to eat. You can visit the miniature of the Statue of Liberty. Great photo ops along the way and especially of Notre Dame Cathedral. You can pass the locations where Princess Dianna departed us. :-( You can walk on the lower quays right next to the water or up higher next to the roads. Also checkout the bridge that had all the Love Locks - Pont des Arts. Read up on it online. If you are a walker/jogger, this is a great place to do it without many opportunities to get run over.

Basilica du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre
The Basilica is quite magnificent from outside and inside is similar to most churches with stained glass windows and arches. There are 300 steps to the tower but the climb is not very strenuous and the view from the top makes it all worth it! A 360 degree top view of the city of Paris, simply wonderful. The area around the Basilica is lined up with many restaurants, cafes and street artists so the atmosphere is fun and lively.
Stunning architecture from the outside, and exquisite painting on the inside. Gorgeous gardens and views outside. Montmartre itself is just so French. 100% recommend.
